Making a Wooden Minecraft Chest

Here's a simple way to create your own wooden Minecraft chest without any woodworking skills. I simply used a mini wooden chest box that I found at my local craft shop for £1.
I remove all the hardware, lock and hinges. I then filled the holes from the lock screws with wood filler.
Using acrylic, I painted the whole thing light brown (yellow beige). Once dry I did the outlines using a dark brown permanent marker pen. (sharpie)
Using MDF I cut out a little block for the lock and painted it gray.
I finished by attaching the hinges in the original screw holes and mounting the lock to the lid using superglue.
