Making a Sticker Using a PaperCutter (I Made a Bat)
To do this, you need to install the Silhouette Studio app on your computer and have a paper cutter. (preferably the Silhouette Cameo, with the USB connecter) You would need sticker paper too!
Step 1
In the Makerspace and go get a Lenovo computer. Open it with the password, Nedlams123. (If you are in the Makerspace) Then, open up the app "Silhouette Studio".
Step 2
Open Chrome, find a picture you want to cut out. It needs to be black and white for it to work. For this step, I used a bat. Then, I right-clicked and saved as into the downloads. Later I went back to the app and press open. Finally, I click the image in the downloads and it will appear on your screen.
Step 3
Press the icon on the right that says Trace (looks like a butterfly). Then press Select trace Area and cover you entire picture with the gray box that you will form. Also, press Trace on the bottom when you are done. Now you can delete the original bat picture.
Step 4
Now you are ready to print! Bring your computer to the paper cutter and press the shut down button for it to turn on. Then plug the USB to your computer from the paper cutter so it's linked. Then get a piece of sticker paper and make sure that the length of the paper is larger than your bat. Later aligned it to the green mat and stick it beside the blue line of the paper cutter. Lastly, press "load" on the screen of the paper cutter. Then, you can press send, which is on the top right part of your screen when you enter the Silhouette app.
Step 5
When the paper cutter is finished cutting, you should press "unload" on the screen. Then, you can gently remove the sticker from the mat. Then, cover the mat using the plastic cover for it so it remains sticky. Remove the USB from your computer and you can peel the sticker and put it wherever you want! Just make sure to shut down the paper cutter by pressing the shut down button again!
