123D IPhone Charging Dock
As I was walking through a store's electronics section, I kept looking at the charging docks for my phone. I realized how boring they were so I thought to myself, why don't I just design one myself? So I used 123D Design to create a better and less boring charging dock that would charge my phone in style.

Making the Base and the Sphere
Start off the project by making a torus with a major radius of 50 and a minor radius of 10. Then, make a sphere of radius 75 and place it on top of the torus. Make sure not to combine the two objects. Now, make a square of length 22.6, width 73.6 and height 138.6 and place it on top of the sphere. Slightly tilt it back and move it down in to the sphere about 20 millimeters. Next, subtract the square from the sphere. Making the Hole
To make the hole to put the charging cable through you first have to make a torus with a major radius of 50 and a minor radius of 8. Place it standing vertically on the edge of the sphere. Now this is the tricky part, move the torus through the sphere until you get to the indented part.
Align the torus so that it goes in the indent cleanly, meaning that then torus does not touch the sides of the indent. Look at the main picture for help with this part. Then, subtract the torus from the sphere to make a hole for where your charging cable will go.

Making the Back Stand and Adding Color
We are almost done at this point in the project. What you have to do now is make a square with length 30, width 3 and height 70. Place the square behind the indent as shown in the main picture.
Tilt the square back to match the angle of the indent so that the the bottom of the indent to the top of the square is one straight line. Then, slightly move the square down in to the sphere. Now that you are done with the body of the charging dock you can add some color! Add whatever colors you want to make the charging dock personal to you!
In the future, I would add these things:
-A notch or something to keep the charging cable up through the hole
-More support for the phone while it's charging
