The material for the work was black calfskin 1.5 mm thick.

Each sheet is fixed on a flat wooden base to avoid possible inclinations and irregularities. Next, the focus of the laser is set. Cutting is carried out in the following mode: speed 400 mm / s, power 100%, distance between lines 0.1 mm, number of repetitions - 1. Cutting for each pattern is carried out on a separate sheet of leather. The inscription on the appliqué was carried out in the same mode, but a light shade of gray was set in the graphics editor. Thus, these areas were not cut, but engraved to a depth of 0.5 mm. Since the leather smokes during processing, a blower or a smoke extractor should be used. For processing, a sufficiently powerful Endurance 10 Watt DPSS Laser was used (link to the installation: https://endurancelasers.com/an-endurance-brand-new-fiber-marking-module-for-metal-engraving/)

After receiving the finished cover parts, they should be sewn together. The seams were manually sewn with 0.2 mm thread. All parts are the same size and hole ratio.

The result of this work is a high-quality and practical passport cover with decorative elements and additional compartments.
