Making Sun Glases With Built-in Bone Conduction Earphones Using Broken Servos and Old Sunglasses

repurposing old and broken servos into bone conduction earphones.

Making bone conduction earphones built into sun gasses is something I have wanted to do since i was 8 years old. and finally when I saw my old broken pair of servos I knew I had an opportunity to make them. at first we tried with a smaller pair of of servos extracting their motors but they weren't loud enough so we looked through our pile of broken servos and found 2 10 kg servos that had their gears stripped and so e tried them and it worked brilliantly.

the design is simple and easy to build using just a bluetooth audio module (MH-M28) and wiring the motors out of a servo into the speaker output slot and connecting a battery to the module. you can then connect the module to the phone through bluetooth and your done you can now play music and place the motors on the top of ears, in our case we positioned it on sunglasses to make bone conduction sungla

Materials:

1. 2 x broken 10kg metal servos
2. old sunglasses
3. wires
4. MH-M28 Bluetooth audio
5. 3.7 350-150Mah lipo

1. First turn the servo up side down and remove the four screws which hold the bottom hatch
2. unscrew the hatch and remove it you will see a pcb which is the controller board and a big motor this motor is what we want
3. desolder the wires and remove the motor using a pair of pliers it should come out smoothly
4. repeat this for the second servo

following the circuit diagram wire and solder battery and motors to Bluetooth audio module

1. connect motors to board
2. connect battery to board

1. Mark where the top of your ear hits the sunglasses and mount the motors on the marked part of the sunglasses
2. mount the MH- M28 (Bluetooth audio module ) on the inside of the glasses next to the lens
3. Mount the battery opposite to the bluetooth audio module using velcro
4. Attach the wires to the top of the glasses

Disclaimer we recorded next to motor because it vibrates to send sound signals so you can hear it clearly when your wearing it.
