The first thing we had to do for our recipe is first to look at the recipe and the directions that we were given. We needed to go grab all the food and kitchen accessories we needed to make the muffins.

Prepping the Oven

We first needed to turn the oven on to 350 degrees to ensure that it would be heated up by the time we were done putting the ingredients together.

Whisking Flour, Sugar, Baking Soda, Salt, Cinnamon, and Nutmeg

To get the correct mix of ingredients, we made sure to use the correct measuring cups (dry) and made sure that the measurements were as accurate as we could get. We mixed all of these ingredients together. After we had all of these ingredients whisked together, we added the eggs, oil and vanilla and made sure it was evenly mixed together. This allows for even cooking in the oven. The sugar was added to ensure that the final product stays sweet and doesn't lose any taste from baking the apples.

While Griffin and Will worked on the ingredients in the other mixture, Halen and I made sure to get the apples ready to be mixed in. We first peeled the apples to make sure we didn't have any skin on the outside, then we needed to shave them down into small pieces so we decided to use a grater to make this process much easier. The apples are a good source of vitamins and fiber. It is full of vitamin C. After we were able to measure out two cups of apples with our shavings, we added the apples to the mixture and made sure to stir fully and make sure there were no dead spots in the mixture.
