We actually have had 100's of people ask us how to make a cone. Granted most of them were in grade school but it led us to believe there must be an instructable on this.
Cones can be used for many things. Such as traffic cones, snow cones, cones of a rocket, decorations, hats, etc.
Check us out at Cat's Science Club.

Make any size circle. Easiest to trace something round ;-)

Cut out the circle.
Triangle?

Using a straightedge, make a triangle in your circle. Connect the center of the circle with the edges. Think PacMan.
Cut Again

Cut out the triangle ou. Imagine "PacMan" or a pizza with a piece missing.

Bring the ends of the "PacMan" together to form a cone. You will have to overlap the sides to get the size cone you want.
Tape

Tape the edge to keep the cone from unraveling.
