Makey-Makey Project: the Cat, the Mouse, and the Cheese (the Peanut Too)

I made a game called “The Cat, the Mouse, and the Cheese (the peanut too)” because I wanted to make something fun for everyone to play. It could be useful since it can help improve precision. The good thing is also that almost anything can play this.

Supplies

Alligator clips

Makey-Makey

DVD Case

Tinfoil

Hot glue

Brass paper fasteners

Discs

Tape

I added in scripts for my sprites & background.

(I gave the mouse a little animation with the costumes.)

I also added three variables of "Chez," "Penut," and "Total Score."

I also installed the Makey-Makey Extension.

Basically, I had the tinfoil acting as arrow keys and used tape to stick it to the DVD case. I then taped on brass paper fasteners, so the alligator clips wouldn't ruin the tinfoil. I bent the discs too and inserted some brass paper fasteners in it too, but I attached it to the DVD case with hot glue.

Final Project

My project works by touching the the directional tinfoil and discs to move the mouse. The mouse then has to collect cheese and peanuts to gain points.
