Makedo Thanksgiving Turkey
Our dear friends in the USA and Canada are celebrating a very special holiday at the moment. Their families come together and indulge on a big feast where the centrepiece of the table is the Thanksgiving turkey.
Another Thanksgiving tradition is to tell your friends and family what you are thankful for in life. We here at Makedo are thankful for the creative minds of children and how they can use them to do the most amazing things. What are you thankful for?
Let’s all celebrate it by making a colourful, cardboard Thanksgiving Turkey!

Find
Gather your materials! Make sure to pick lots of orange, red and brown cardboard boxes.
Cut
Cut out feathers, a beak and a red wattle 3 to go under the beak of your Turkey.
Paste
When cutting out the beak, make sure there’s enough space to make a fold for the Re-clip to go through, as shown. Attach the beak and wattle to the coffee cup using a Makedo Re-clip.
Attach Eyes and Beak
Insert 2x Makedo Re-clips inside a pair of egg carton cups to form the Turkey’s eyes. Attach these to the paper cup just above the beak.
Attach Feathers
Turn the cup around and begin giving 6 your Turkey his plumage! You can save time by attaching several feathers at once as shown. Continue attaching the combined feathers until your Turkey looks just right
Adjust and Complete
Adjust the feathers from the front, and your Turkey is complete!
