Make Those Ugly Free T-shirts Look Socially Acceptable

You all know those ugly t-shirts you can get for free when you go to some events, the ones you wouldn't dare wear out in public because it has some annoying business logo on it. I have many of those in the back of my closet just going to waste. Here I will show you how to make one of those hideous shirts into a lovely, wearable garment. I only have pictures of the finished product on my pillow and I will try to get some different ones that really show how cool the back looks. It's rather hard to take a picture of your back, you know.

You will need:
A t-shirt with an ugly logo on the front
Scissors
Needle and thread or a sewing machine
Ribbon
Ruler
A pencil or marker

Now lay the shirt out flat on the floor. Take the ruler and make a square on the shirt as shown in the picture, except for the line inside of the square. That was an accident. Now cut out the square and save the material. We will need it for later.

Now cut some slits down the sides of the square you just cut. I made four cuts on each side, but you could probably make more if you wanted. They need to be big enough for your ribbon to go through. Now thread your ribbon through the holes like you're lacing a shoe.

Now if you try to put the shirt on you will see that it makes an annoying fold that just doesn't look right. So we will sew it. Lay it on it's side, inside out, and sew down the

Now if you put it on it will choke you. Not fun. So you need to extend the neckhole like it is in the second picture.

The front is the worst on my shirt. So here goes. Draw a rectangle around the logo and cut it out. Then take the cloth we cut out of the back and put it under the front of the shirt and sew it on the shirt. Look at the pictures if you don't get what I mean.

For this part if you want you can cut a different shape and use different cloth
