Make and Install a Removable Window Sticker in 10 Minutes

You can easily make temporary window stickers from your own artwork or artwork you have downloaded from the web. All you need is ordinary paper, a printer, lip balm, and scissors—and glass cleaner and paper towels for cleaning the inside of the window and cleaning up after the sticker is removed.

Print

Print your artwork and allow a couple of minutes for the ink to dry.

Coat

Coat the front of the sticker from edge to edge with lip balm.

Trim

Trim along the edge of sticker.

Opt for a Location in the Driver's Blind Spot

Don't put a sticker where it might obstruct the driver's vision. A good location is on the rear window behind the headrest on the driver's side.

Clean the Inside of the Window

Use glass cleaner to clean the inside of the window where the sticker will be applied. (If you are directly substituting a new sticker for an older one, the cleaning step is probably not necessary.)

Apply

Apply your sticker to the inside of the window. Use as guides the defroster traces nearer the center of the window—they give a reasonably level sticker placement.

Press Thoroughly

Use thumb, knuckles, or fingertips to thoroughly press the sticker against the glass, including edges and corners. If you miss any spots you'll see them when you step outside.

Removal

To remove your sticker, simply peel it off and clean the lip balm residue with window cleaner.
