Make an Indestructible Flash Drive

It all began a month ago, when a friend got a "Iron Key" Flash drive for $140 that claimed to be water and shock proof. I started to wonder why someone was selling a steel encased flash drive for so much money, then it occurred to me, why not make one out of household materials. The overall cost of this build ended up being 10$ (5 for the flash drive and 5 for the hot glue gun)

Lets get started! Here is what you will be needing for this incredibly simple mod:

Hot Glue Gun
Flash Drive 
Knife/Screwdriver 

Ok first you need to back up your data and carefully take your flashdrive apart using a flat piece of metal or a knife, make sure not to crack or puncture the casing. Once you have retrieved the circuit board be careful not to touch/bend any of the components, also plug the flash drive in and make sure it still works.

1) Now plug in your hot glue gun, and wait for it to heat up, the key to this is to not let it get to maximum temperature or it might damage the flash drive.
2) Once the glue is hot enough to stick, coat one side of the flash drive in it and push it into the casing (Make sure there are no air bubbles).
3) Coat the other side and attach the other side of the casing, and reassemble the flash drive 
4) Coat and smear glue onto the seams where both sides of the casing meet

Congratulations! You are now done! Now plug in the flash drive and make sure it still runs, if it does then time to test! I have tested the flash drive to 6 feet underwater, and a 20 foot drop onto concrete, you guys are welcome to try more torture!
