Make a Font Out of Your Own Handwriting

Unbenannt.PNG

Hi! As some requested I made a tutorial on how to get your personal handwriting as a font on your android device.

Yes, this instruction is very basic, but anyway, maybe someone will find it quite useful.
I will not show how to install the font on Windows, because it is just two clicks. Please keep in mind, that this font isn't perfect and might cause some trouble, for example new E-Mails are not <b> anymore. Gmail has some trouble with custom fonts...

Show some mercy, this is my first tutorial :-).

Step 1: Get a .ttf

First I wanted to write a long text about how to do this, but then I found a website which can do it for you, isn't this great?

http://www.myscriptfont.com/

This website doesn't need much explaining. Just download and print the template, fill it with your letters and scan it.
The website will give you a .tff file.

Step 2: Install the Font (*buntu)

After downloading the .tff copy it to "/home/YourUsername/.fonts"

Protip: Press STRG+H to show hidden folders.

Step 3: Install the Font on Android

First copy the .ttf to your device. You could use Bluetooth or GDrive.
I used an app to make a .apk out of the font.

Example: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com...

This app will give you an .apk. You will have to enable unknown sources in your security settings to install this apk, please make sure to disable it after you finished.

Now all you have to do is go to "settings -> designs" and apply the font.
