Find a metal badge, any kind of metal is OK, copper, silver, stainless steel, zinc alloy, nickel alloy, gold, silver, platinum etc, our welding wire and flux can weld any kind of metal together.

For this badge, it is 5cm x 3.5cm, I think it is copper & zinc alloy, I decided to make a waist belt buckle for 3cm-3.5cm width leather belt.

Scratch area is for a copper tube.

Find out the brass wire, here I use Φ2.5mm one. Normally 2.5mm one for smaller waist belt, 3.0mm for large one. If you like more strong wire, or you want the color match the medal, stainless steel wire is recommended, even 2mm stainless steel is stronger than 3mm brass wire.

The copper wire is not straight, use the straighter tool that we developed to make it straight easily.

Here is the 2.5mm tool kit we developed to make waist belt bridge. Bending work, no more to say. If you are a new player, after some practice you will master the skill easily.

Cut brass tube. Here I use inner diameter 3mm tube. Mark the cutting point by pen. Cut the tube by tube cutter, simple swivel and fasten the screw, you can cut off the tube easily.

Bevel the edge by sandpaper. Here I use 400# and 1200# one.

After cutting, may the inner hole of the tube becomes smaller, so use a round file to enlarge the hole.

Assemble work, nice and swivel smoothly.

Glue 2 pieces of tape to protect the face of the badge.

Take out this tool, we developed 2 sizes, the small one is for making bolo tie button, the large is for making large size waist buckle. Here I use small one.

022.jpg

Put it on in middle place.

Put the male part on.

Shoot it.

Prepare to weld. Use spring tweezers to fix them together.

You can use those parted torch and butane gas jar. Here I use the integrated torch.

029-1.jpg

A safe face mask is recommended.

Use No.51 welding wire and its flux. Dip some flux on welding wire.

Use soft flame to heat the tube a little, no need more time, because the welding wire on need 179℃, so only 3-5 seconds is enough, when it was heated, just simply attach the welding wire on the joint place, then the welding wire will melt and fill the space full. Remove the torch, when it is cooler a little, the tube will attach with the budge firmly.

Here is the stud hook.
