Here is a quick way to make a connector body.
Use a pen cap and saw it in half. Then fill both halves with hot glue and enclose them around the connector. Makes a great connector body that helps keep the strain away from the solder joints.
This technique can also be used for a cable splice. Use a pen body instead of a cap.
