Make a 8 X 8 LED Matrix Cheap and Simple

Hello Friends, I'm going to show you how to make a 8 x 8 LED Matrix Cheap and Simple. You will need,
- 64 LEDs, Any color you like
- 8 x 470 ohm Resistors
- Wire
- Solder
- Soldering Iron
- Dot Board ora piece of Cardboard (in my case 10cm x 10cm
- 9v battery or a power source less than 12V (Optional for testing)
- Arduino (Optional - To drive these LEDs with some patterns)
Prepare Your Board

Skip this step if you are not using Cardboard to make this matrix.
First mark Lines for X and Y axis with 10 mm gap each.then make holes using a pin for each LED as shown.
Connect LEDs

Use the diagram to identify the connections and Connect the LEDs.
Soldering

Turn on Your Soldering Iron and get ready for soldering, Each LED Row in X and Y.
Connecting Wires

So we need to Connect Wires to LEDs. Solder wires to Each row on X and Y axis.
Connecting Resistors

This methos is used to protect LEDs from Voltages greater than 3v. connect 8 Resistors in series for all Anodes.
Testing

So we need to connect all wires going to Cathode together.and Connect it to negative wire of 9v battery or any power source.(Less than 12v)
Then connect resistors from Anode together and connect it to Positive wire of the power supply.
Fun With Arduino

Please Refer this guide to Use arduino with this matrix :- https://www.instructables.com/id/8x8-LED-Matrix-Animations/step7/Testing-the-matrix/
Improved Look

This is the time to make this a Real LED Matrix. Put your A4 sheet over the Matrix to see the change.
Thanks for referring my project guide. please comment your ideas.
