Make Your Own Bacon! | DIY

Have you ever wanted to have a really good breakfast that you can make that is allergy friendly, healthy, and easy breakfast? Well now you can have it! I guarentee you will love this recipe and I look forward to seeing you make it too!

(At the time of writing) this is gluten, dairy, soy, corn, and nut free. The ham is also fully cooked already.

What You Will Need

Cutting Board

A good cutting knife (that can make clean cuts in the meat)

Applegate sliced ham in vaccum pack. I have seen it at several grocery stores including Whole Foods, Giant Eagle, and Target.

A pan to cook it in with oil

Two paper towels

Plate

Cut the Slices

First, layout the ham slices on the cutting board so that they can be easily cut. When you go to cut them, make sure that all of the slices are about the samee size. I have had the best luck with the size that is in this picture.

Fry in Pan

Put oil in the pan and layout all the slices you cut. Avoid overlapping the pieces so that they all cook evenly and correctly. (If they have to a little that is ok too).

Fry it for about 15 min. on medium heat. Every few minuites you should rotate them and/or flip them so that they can properly brown.

Once they reach the texture that you would like, you can go to the next step.

Remove Excess Oil

Place a paper towel on a plate and put your newly cooked meal on it with another paper towel on top. This is so that all the extra oil can be removed.

Remove the Paper Towls and Enjoy!
