Make COOKIES and Your Own CHRISTMAS CUTTERS
The happiest time of the year is approaching and it is best to share it with the family with some delicious and beautiful cookies
In this Instructable, you will learn how to make your own cutters and not depend on the shapes found in the market.
Supplies
For cutters:
- Aluminum foil (not thin)
For the cookies:
- 150 g butter
- 190g powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- 230 g flour
- ½ teaspoon of baking soda
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For coverage:
- White chocolate
- Dark chocolate
- Colorants
MAKING THE CUTTERS. Preparing the Aluminum Foil
Cut the aluminum foil to the thickness of a ruler.
Folding the Aluminium Foil
Mark 7mm on each side to make a fold.
(Every time you want to bend aluminum it is good to use a pencil smudger since if you use your fingers it is very likely to cut yourself)
Then fold it again so it will get thicker.
Making the Figure
Cut off the tip.
Begin to fold it, giving the shape of the figure you want. (You can find the drawings I used attached here as a PDF)

Finishing the Figure
When finishing the figure, cut the excess material.
Add some glue (I used nail glue)
Put a clip to keep the shape of the figure while the glue dries.

Time to Color Them
With a wire my dad and I bend a figure that allows us to separate 5 aluminum glasses to separate the chocolate colors (you can see it in the photos)
- Bring water to boil
- Turn off the stove
- Put the aluminum glasses with chocolate inside
- Wait for it to melt
- Add some colorants as desired and mix
Coloring the Cookies
With a wooden stick or butter knives, apply chocolate to the cookies and let them dry.
