Magnet Fishing!

In this tutorial we will be making a fun activity to pass the time!

Scissors, styrofoam or cardboard, a small magnet, a washer, 2 pieces of string, tape, double sided tape, markers and art supplies, 2 pencils.

Tape the pencils together to secure them in place, making a pole.

Tie a string onto the end of the pole with the washer attached. Tip: use some tape to secure the string in place.

To make the fish cut out a piece of styrofoam or cardboard into any type of fish you’d like. Decorate your fish as well.

Create a small notch in the fish or attach the magnet however you would like. I’m attaching it near the mouth. Location of the magnet may vary on size and shape of the magnet. Add some tape to hold the magnet in place.

Customize and decorate a pond for your fish!
Create some obstacles to fish around and have fun!
