Magazine Christmas Angel
This magazine Christmas Angel is adorable and only takes around 10 to 20 minutes to make. It is straight forward and simple to make. It's a perfect arts and crafts activity for children you are babysitting, if you are at a camp, or to occupy kids at a sleepover. I had a lot of fun making this, and I didn't feel stressed or bored. It is a cute way to decorate a kids desk, or even yours'! I had a ton of fun making this, and I hope you have fun too! :)
Gather Your Materials
You will need:
Scissors
A magazine
A marker
A Sharpie
Making the Angel's Body
To start on the angels "body", open the magazine to the first two pages (Including the cover). Ignoring the cover, fold the secound page doggy eared style to the left. (Look at the pictures for reference.) Continue doing this until the last page.
Tips-
Crease the paper softly at first, then once you are sure with the placement, crease very hard.
If you come across a staple, after folding it, move it towards the right of the staple, it isn't a big problem.
The Angel's Wings (Type One)
The achieve the wings as shown above, place the folded magazine to its back, with the first and last page unfolded. Then, grab the bottom corner, and fold it to the center. Do this on both sides. (Use the pictures for reference.)
The Angel's Wings (Part Two)
Outline the wing design using the marker. Put the two last pages together, so you can cut the same size wings at the same time. I prefer these wings since they look more realistic. To make sure they don't fall backwards, pinch the middle of the wing, and work upwards. This fold gives the wings some support so they don't fall backwards.
The Angel's Head
This part I did for fun, but decided to share it, in case anybody wanted to give this as a silly gift. As shown in the picture, one of the covers on my lamp had fallen, I used it as a head, and decided to add a face. Using black sharpie, I drew a face, using the lines on the cover as a guideline. I used the excess paper from cutting the wings, and put it on the top of the "head" as silly hair. It was a cute topper to my book Christmas tree, which you can check out how to make on my Instructable list.
I hope you had fun making this! Make it as silly as possible, or cute! :D =^.^=
