Macaroni and Cheese With Breadcrumbs
When I think of my favorite dinner choices, I always go to my childhood food selection. This typically consists of chicken nuggets with macaroni and cheese. With being 21 now, I felt that my food pallet may be a little simple and frowned upon. I now choose to use my Stepfather’s masterpiece, which is macaroni and cheese with breadcrumbs. With being very simple to replicate, it can be used by everyone that owns a stove. The main goal of the recipe is to make a gourmet tasting macaroni and cheese that shows you have increased your mac and cheese from the average person
Ingredients
·Kraft Mac and Cheese
·¾ Stick of butter
·¾ cup of Milk (Any milk works)
·2 cups Panko breadcrumbs (Plain)
·Salt
Materials
·1 9x5 loaf pan
·Mixing spoon
·Measuring utensils
·Pot
·Strainer
Tip: If you don’t own a 9x5 pan, you can use a normal 13x9 pan. The 9x5 pan is meant for 1-2 people
·Fill pot with water.
·Turn stove to high heat.
·Turn oven to 425 degrees.
·Bring water to boil, then put Kraft noodles into the pot.
·Stir every 30 seconds to prevent clumping of noodles.
·When noodles are rising to the top of the boiling water, use a strainer to dump out the water.
·Next use 1 tablespoon of butter to mix into noodles. Use a cup of milk to add flavor and consistency to the macaroni.
·Add cheese packet and stir.
Tip: Stir until there aren’t any chunks of cheese powder.
·Place 4 tablespoons of butter into the microwave until the butter is melted. Next, mix with 2 cups of panko breadcrumbs,
Tip: Not all crumbs need to have butter on them, but this will help keep the crumbs golden when baking is completed.
·Place the mac and cheese into the 5x7 pan and spread evenly. After this, spread the breadcrumbs evenly on top of the mac.
·Place the pan on the top rack for 7 minutes, then turn the oven to broil. Make sure to only have broil on for 30 seconds maximum. You are looking for a golden-brown color for the breadcrumbs.
Warning
When removing the pan, it will be hot. Be sure to use proper safety equipment like baking gloves.
·Remove the pan with caution and let macaroni sit for 5 minutes. Lastly, add salt on top of the cooled macaroni to enrich the flavor.

The mac and cheese with breadcrumbs is very simple to replicate and can be made by everyone that owns a stove. In total, this recipe takes under 30 minutes to prepare and bake. With only taking a short amount of time, you will impress others by the unique, yet tasteful meal.
