Lughnasadh Hopes and Fears

PXL_20220724_204314644.jpg

Lughnasadh is the first of the harvest festivals, a time for balancing the hope for abundance against the fear of scarcity. The holiday is named for the Irish god-hero Lugh, who encourages all of us to face our fears and fight for justice in the hope of creating abundance for all.

As Lugh invites us to fight for justice, it's important to name what we fight FOR and what we fight AGAINST. We invite you to use the window markers we've left at the Fellowship to create a collective mural of our community's hopes and fears!

Supplies

-Window markers (provided at the Fellowship)

Grab Some Window Markers

You'll find the window markers in a box on a table beside the glass doors facing the parking lot. Before you uncap one to use, give it a good shake. Then, remove the cap to reveal the sponge applicator. Careful not to get it on your clothes! The ink is washable with soap and water, but we still wouldn't want any stains.

Write And/Or Draw Your Hopes and Fears

You can name and write and/or draw your hopes on the left door and windows and your fears on the right. The markers are kind of chunky, so you'll be writing and drawing pretty big. As a community, we hold so many hopes and fears. What will it look like when they're all drawn together?
