Its incredibly quick, easy and perfect for anyone who wants their friends to think they know how to cook. What's so great about this dish is how little ingredients it requires and how tasty it is when finished.

I learned this dish from one of my friends from high school, I've made it countless times for many different people and every one of them has asked for the recipe.

Cook the Noodles

Open your ramen packet and throw away the seasoning packet inside, as you won't need it.

Fill your saucepan with enough water to submerge the noodle packet. Don't salt the water as the dish will be salty enough with the soy sauce that will be added later. Set the stovetop to high heat, and place the pot on the stove. Once the water comes to a boil, add the noodles and stir periodically.

Note: The noodles should be done within 7 minutes. Saucing the skillet while the noodles are cooking will save time, but its important to still keep an eye on them as to not over/under cook them.

Sauce the Skillet

Set another stove top to medium low heat and place your skillet. Add a tablespoon of butter and with the spoon spread the butter around until it evenly coats the bottom.

Add a tablespoon of soy sauce and about a nickel sized serving of minced garlic, then stir around.

Note: If the dish needs some spice, add red pepper flakes.

Now its time to add the brown sugar.

Important: One the brown sugar is added, it has the likelihood of burning if the heat is too high and this could ruin the dish. To prevent this, insure that the heat is lower and periodically remove the skillet from the heat if necessary.

Add the tablespoon of brown sugar and stir in the sauce until it is dissolved. The sauce should be darker and thicker now (refer to image #3.)

Add a tablespoon of noodle water to loosen the sauce.

By this point it should be time to Strain the noodles.
