This Puzzle Box is a creative way to give a ring as a gift. The catch is you have to get it out of the box first. So if you finally gave in to buy Ring for Valentines Day, why not see your loved one struggle a bit to get the prize. This can provide hours of tourment and enjoyment, depending on what side of the box your on.

Using Scrap Wood from a pallet, i drew a heart and cut it out. You can prep your heart by sanding the rough edges.

Using paracord Thread the Heart Shaped Bead. The larger the box, the more paracord you will need. I used about 3 ft.

Setting the Trap

Ring Puzzle Box Set Up

Finally you need to set the trap. The concept involves threading the paracord through the holes in the box and the ring. You can get as complicated as you want. Once you have sewn the paracord through you have to follow the same pattern back out with the end of the cord until you can loop the Bead. Then Gently pull the paracord through and tighten the cord so that the slack is on the Bead. I have provided a video of the Lovers Ring Puzzle Box being set.
