Longer-Lasting Matches

This instructable will show you how to make matches that burn with a slightly smaller flame but will last 5 times as long.
You Will Need

You will need:
-Oil (used oil will do as long as its clean).
-Matches
-Shallow dish
Pour a Small Amount of Oil Into the Dish

Firstly, you will need to pour a small amount of oil into the dish. You don't need much unless you are doing loads and oil can be quite expensive.
Let the Matches Soak

Let the matches soak overnight. This will ensure they absorb as much of the oil as possible.
Let the Matches Dry

Now you will need to let the matches dry otherwise they will not work as well. A good time to let them dry is overnight.
The Final Product

The matches should now be dry and ready to use. They will have a slight yellowish tint this is the oil.
