How to Build this Awesome Longboard with epoxy and sand Grip tape

I made this longboard using box joints my first plan was to have one large box joint going down the middle but like everything in wood working things dont always go quite the way you would want them to but I think this project turned out just the way it needed to!

Supplies

Mill Down Lumber

I had some thick ash and walnut so I milled it down to 3/4 of an inch.

Cut Box Joints

i made a jig and i made 1/4 ich box joints along the entire length of the board sadly this did not work

Problem Solved

i cut them into smaller more manageable pieces then connecting them with more box joints

Plane Flat

once you connect all the pieces together and glue them send them trough the planer or you can sand if you dont have a planer

Here Are Some Designs I Came Up With

Epoxy Time

I use west system epoxy with 207 hardener because its clear and tough!!

Add Grip Tape

I used sand as grip tape mixed with the epoxy and it worked great.
