Long Airtime Paper Airplane Tutorial

Supplies

  • One 11-inch by 8 1/5-inch piece of printer paper

Fold in Half

First, fold in half (Hotdog style in case you need clarification). Unfold.

Fold Corners

Next, fold the corners into the center line we made in the last step.

Fold Down

Now, fold the top corner down to the bottom edge, as shown.

Fold Up

Here, fold the corner back up, but stop until the crease reaches the bottom part of the triangles, as shown.

Fold Sides

Next, fold the sides all the way down, until it reaches the point.

Fold Down

Fold down the corner until it touches the last step's top edges.

Flip and Fold

Here, flip the paper over, then fold in half.

Fold Wings

Fold the wings down, leaving about a 1/5-inch body. Make sure it's going straight down. Do this with both wings. Then, slightly unfold, bringing the wings up.

Fly!

Make sure that the wings are angles very slightly up, and that the thicker end is where the nose is. Then, softly throw the paper airplane.
