Little Wallet With Cardboard for MP3 Reader/Phone
Hey everyone! This is my first Instructable. I found something similar on Youtube but I wasn't satisfied, and I decided to do it myself. I used my own MP3 reader but you can take your phone, your tablet if you are courageous.
I'm french and 14 so I don't speak english very well, sorry.
Have a good tuto and enjoy !
Don't hesitate to ask me whatever you want in the comments!
Step 1: Tools
You'll need:
- A piece of cardboard
- Some scotch/glue stick
- Some pens and felts
- A ruler
- Three sheets of paper
- A cutter or cisors (I prefer cutter)
Your MP3 reader or phone
Step 2: Draw the Outline of Your Object and Cut
Draw the outline of your object and add another outline (to five milimeters). Then, cut the exterior one.
Step 3: Do the 'step 2' Three Times and Cut
Step 4: Cut the Interior Outline
Step 5: Prepare Your Base
Take 3 sheets of paper, overlay them and cut out the shape of your pieces of cardboard.
Glue it. Do it 2 times and take one for later.
But you can use a Canson Paper of the color of your choice.
Step 6: Add the Cardboard
Place the cardboard in the middle of your sheet with the MP3 reader.
Glue the three floors to the sheet and adjust. Be careful to let a little space between your device and the cardboard.
Step 7: Cover the Cardboard
Cover the cardboard with some paper outside and in front of the future wallet (1 or 3 thickness).
Step 8: Make and Add the Opening System
Take your second base (from step 5).
Cut (always your 3 sheets overlayed) a piece of paper (the length of your base X 5 cm of width) and glue about 2 cm on each face. You can use tape to secure all.
Step 9: Make and Add a Clasp
Cut 2 pieces of paper (12 X 0,5//14 X 0,5) and fold it in two. Glue it and fold again in two.
Take the 12 X 0,5 paper and glue one face entirely. For the other face, just glue the end (to let something slide inside).
Take the 14 X 0,5 and glue the end on the back of the wallet. The beginning should slide in the other paper.
The clasp is finnished (you can decorate it).
Step 10: Decorate
I did it before the clasp (that was an error).
Do whatever you want, you can vary the colors of the papers, the clasp, the opening system.
It's Done!!
My model is really simple, but the frog one and the BMO one are a bit more complicated.
Thanks for reading me !
