Litter Sifter
This instructable will show you how to make a litter sifter from your empty litter bucket containers. Total project time approximately 20 minutes
- You will need at least 2 lidded buckets (i repurposed my empty litter containers-- but any lidded bucket should work)
- A sharp knife
- a drill/dremel and larger sized drill bit
- Or a soldering iron
The Lid
You will need to cut out the center of your lid from the bucket, this way you can stack one on top of the other. Allowing the clean litter to pass through the bottom of one bucket into the other
The Sifting Bucket
Turn the bucket upside down, you can draw on your pattern of holes to be drilled if you like, or just eyeball it as you go. Take your drill/Dremel with whatever sized drill bit you prefer. Begin drilling a series of holes across the bottom of the bucket
*alternatively you can use a saudering iron to create the holes, I highly reccomend doing this somewhere with good ventilation or just outside as the plastic stinks when melted.

That's It! Enjoy Your New Litter Sifter
Attach the cut out lid to the top of the unmodified bucket
Place the sifting bucket on top of the unmodified bucket to catch the clean litter.
The cutout lid will prevent the sifting bucket from sliding inside the empty unmodified bucket
