Our local not-for-profit children's theater recently produced the Lion King Jr. I was a co-set designer and builder on the show. I was able to work with a wonderfully talented group of volunteers. This was a great show and the possibilities for creativity are endless!! We lost all of our tools, paint and prior sets during a devastating fire last year. Therefore, we had to be very creative to allow us to use a minimal amount of money. The total cost for the set was minimal at best!

Pride Rock reached 9' and was built on the base of a curved staircase. I had carved the animals onto the structure.

The tree reached 24' feet with a span of 27'. Over 20 hours were dedicated to drawing and cutting out each swirl.

The jungle scene reached 40' in length and consisted of multiple layers of waferboard leaves, lauan vines and jute.

Please contact me if you are going to do the show and need any help!!
