All you need for this project is

An Arduino, cardboard, wires, Led strip, Drill, Button, and Arduino.

Step 1: the Lightsaber Hilt

First, I made a lightsaber hilt that I wanted and that I thought looked good. Height = 230 mm, width= 150 mm, depth 40 mm.

Step 2: Arduino and LED Strip

Then I made Arduino connect with the LED strip

Step 3: Top Part

Then I made a hole in the bottom of the top so I could put the wires through it.

Step 4: Bottom Part

Drill a hole in the bottom and put a button then connect it to the Arduino. This was pretty hard to do but I tried but it didn’t turn up that good and tilted a bit to the side.

Step 5: Gluing Together the Base and Top

Then you have to connect the base and the top together and try to line them up in the middle.

Make sure that you have done everything you have to do to both the top and the bottom before you put them together.

Step 6: Arduino

Then set up the Arduino with the led strip. And connect the wires from the button so that you can have an option to turn it on and off.

Step 7: Arduino in the Top

Then put in the Arduino into the top of the lightsaber and make sure that you can put in the battery when you need to.

Step 8: Neopixel Code

For your Arduino code use neopixel simple exepel for the code and then you can build upon that code to make it fit better.
