Lighted Pallet Bed
I built a custom-designed lighted pallet bed. It was made to be assembled and taken apart easily for small locations. I had to create a platform bed for a double mattress. I have never done anything like this before. There was a very small door opening to the bedroom that would not fit a queen-size box spring.

Supplies
10 pallets, drill, bolts, screws, LED lights, powerstrip, paint(I used spraypaint) manual hand saw, battery hand saw, 8 1x2's.
I built both levels of the bed in parts to make it easier to get into the room and easier to remove.
Each level required 4 pallets. I cut the first side to 37” and the other side to 17”. Cut two 1x2s to create the edges that were cut off. Lots of sanding. Underneath drill two holes in each part for bolts to connect the two parts together. Repeat that process again.
Drill two holes in the top on the first part and another two holes on the top of the other side. Connect the top and the bottom to form the first level. Paint the created level color of your choice.
If you are wanting to add the string of LED lights, create/cut notches in the top of the lower level for the string to run threw. I also drilled a larger hole between each side to allow the string to pass through. Make sure to allow some slack at the beginning of the LED light line to connect to power.
Repeat the previous steps and create the top level.
To add the headboard I did similar to the levels but only connected two pieces together. I made simple cuts at the bottom edge to make room to drill a hole and connect the bottom level to the headboard. I did the same for the headboard to the top level.
Run the second strand of LED lights through the top level.
I added a power strip using Velcro to the inside side of the headboard to plug the LED lights in and for the user to allow their electronic devices to be plugged in.
