Light Up Wall Make Robot
this is a light box with make as the symbol. i have it hooked up to a wall outlet that i can turn on and off and i love just flicking the switch.i don't know how much it cost because most of the parts i had around.
Materials/ tools :
step one is to lazier cut your desired design on your front piece of wood. Then glue your chosen piece of paper on the back of your cut out. the paper is going to be defusing the light.
Materials/ tools :
- saw
- wood glue
- rope
- tape me-surer
- pencil
- hammer
- lazier cutter
- wood ( shape and size depends on how big you want your light box to be)
- rope light
- nails
- hanger
- paper
step one is to lazier cut your desired design on your front piece of wood. Then glue your chosen piece of paper on the back of your cut out. the paper is going to be defusing the light.
Cutting the Sides
first cut the piece of wood you selected for the sides 4 times at 90 degree angle so they will form a rectangle.
Gluing the Sides
once you have the sides that match the size of your front piece then you can start gluing the sides together.apply glue to the part of the wood where the pieces meet. then assemble the sides in the rectangle shape.
Rope
tie the rope around your box so the connections are nice and strong. then what fro the glue to heel.
Hole
drill a hole in the bottom of the frame. the whole should be large enough for your rope light to go threw.
Nailing
mark where you are going to place the nails then nail your back piece to the frame.
Rope Light
thread the rope light threw the whole that you previously drilled and insure the end of the rope is snug and wont fall out. then line out the rope light into a spiral shape going all the way around the sides of the box and spiraling to the center. i used little clips to secure the rope light. the purpose of spiraling is so you can get nice and even lighting.
Mount and Fount
nail the your fount board to the frame and then add your mounting piece.
All Done
you are all done now you can turn off the lights and turn it on and admire your handy work. as you can see there is a part that the lighting isn't even that was because i didn't secure a section of the rope light well enough.
