  • This is a simple yet incredibly effective Christmas sweater design that is easy to make, affordable, and only takes 5 minutes.

Supplies

All you will need is:

  • large piece of plain paper
  • sharp scissors
  • 1 x safety pin

the Square

Fold a corner to the side opposite it to form a right angled triangle. Cut away the excess paper outside of the triangle as shown in the pictures. This will form a perfect square ready for the next step.

the Circle

Fold the square diagonally to form a triangle, then fold diagonally twice more to form a smaller triangle. Sketch then cut a curved line forming an ark with a constant radius starting from the short edge. this will form the circle shape.

Cutting the Flake

Using a pencil sketch out half of the arm of a snow flake on each side. If your struggling to visualise the shape try placing a mirror on the edge to get the reflection. At this stage you can be as creative as you want.

Once you have finished sketching follow the line with a sharp pair of scissors. Now you can unfold flake and tape a safety pin to its back. Now you can pin it on your favourite sweater and put the competition to shame on ugly sweater day!!

I hope you found this useful!! If so please consider voting for me in the ugly Christmas jumper competition.
