This is a perfect easy to make lemonade syrup with and splash of lime mixed in. It is easy to make and delicious to taste.

Supplies

You will need:

1 1/4 cups lemon juice

1/3 cup lime juice

1 1/4 cups sugar

2-3 tbsp. lime zest

1 1/4 cup water

A spoon for stirring

A cooktop

A grater

A saucepan

Some sort of citrus juicer

the Zesting

In the saucepan take your grater and zest your limes. Zest until you about 2 tbsp. of lime zest if you want your drink to be extra punchy, zest 3 tbsp. instead.

TIP: a common problem is the zest getting caught in the grater. This is ok, just take a butter knife and scape and bang the zest out

The Juicing

You will need just over a cup and a half of juice 1/3 lime + 1 1/4 lemon= 1 7/12. So any amount over a cup and a half is fine.

For the juicing itself a standard manual juicer can work fine but a food processor on citrus juice mode works even better. Simply cut the lemons in half and flick the switch and and presto juiced lemons and limes.

The Boiling

In the saucepan with the zest put in 1 1/4 cup sugar and 1 1/4 cup water and set to a boil, stir continuedly. Once it is boiling stir for 30 seconds then turn of heat and add the juice. When putting in jars (or whatever you are storing it in) sieve out the zest.

REMEMBER: This is a SYRUP pour a small amount in a glass and fill the rest will water, if you have a soda stream add bubbly water to the syrup to make lemon-lime pop.
