Lego Launcher Halloween Prop - Shoots at the Pull of a Trigger

Here is a launcher I built out of lego using one motor and a battery pack. I made this to be a fun lego accessory for your Halloween costume. After you have the base mechanics you can customize it however you want to have a launcher that works for your costume. Below I have attached instructions on how to build your very own lego launcher!

(I am sorry if this video does not work, it is just to show how the gun works)

The only pieces that may be difficult to find are the lego power functions motor and battery pack. Other than that a few lego technic pieces, treads, spring-launchers, and skeleton arms should work to make the launcher along with a few basic bricks.

Building the Launcher

First, to build the launcher take a tread-gear and attached 6 treads around it. There should be 12 holes in all the treads total after they are attached to the gear. In these 12 holes I put small blue technic pieces that have a brick holder at the end. This will be used to attached the launchers. Next, attach the 6 launcher onto all of the blue pieces. If you turn the build around you may notice that the spring-launchers can still move up and down. To prevent this I attached skeleton arms along every launcher. This will hold it in place, at the end of this step your launcher should look similar to the picture.

Attaching the Launcher

For this I used a 6x8 technic piece with a hole in it (you do not need this piece it just made my life easier). To this piece the motor should fit in the hole like the picture. To attach the motor to the technic piece I used a blue piece that is 3 long. It should attach through the technic piece to the motor. After that, add a rod into the part in the motor that turns and to the other end of the rod attach the launcher through the gear. If you attach the motor to the battery pack and turn it on the launcher should spin.

The spring launchers are made so that when you press down on the bullets it shoots. I made it so that the bullets hit a piece on a slant, pressing just enough on top that it shoots. To add this piece it should be on the far side and the launchers on-top should be turning toward it. Attach the piece sideways and you may have to keep on adjusting it and testing it until it launches (this is what I did).

After step #3 the launcher should shoot. Now, you can make it the color you want, make a trigger system, and even add some Halloween minifigures onto the launcher. Keep on customizing it until it is the perfect accessory to your costume.
