Lego City Buildings

IMG_0002_2.jpg
Hello everyone! Most people don't know this, but I've been a Lego builder since 2007. I decided it's finally time to share some of my custom models. I've always been interested in having a Lego city, so that's what these models are for. Even though the title of this is Lego City Buildings, there is one vehicle included. Some of these are mods to previous Lego sets, like adding furniture into a building or fixing problems that I had with certain sets. Others are combinations of sets, like using two police stations to make one larger one.

I would love to hear your feedback on these models. Sadly I don't have many bricks to make a bunch of custom buildings. If there's something wrong with a model it's most likely because I don't have the bricks to fix it. :-P But, despite that, I would still like to hear feedback since this is my first Lego-related thing posted here. Also, post what your favorite building/vehicle is in the comments!

I hope you enjoy!

This model is a modified version of the original Lego set, 7743 Police Command Center. It uses the same cab but a different trailer. Windows are added to the trailer walls to see inside. One of the main problems I had with this set was the jail always falling out, so I built the doors into the trailer itself and added a jail window to the back (this also made the jail cell a tad larger). The little closet up front leads into the work area (it was originally closed off). I also added a satellite and some random things to go on the roof.

This model is based on 7892 Hospital. I added a garage door to one of the parking spaces, and made a new garage underneath the helipad so the other garage fits an ambulance. Since these sets don't have much stairs, I added a staircase leading to the upper walkway. There is also an area for the patients to take a breath of fresh air. This is one of the first Lego City sets I ever got, and to this day it's still one of my favorites.

Most of the pieces used in this come from 7744 Police Headquarters and 7498 Police Station. It has all of the parts of those two sets, like jail cells and the watchtower. This building also has a back, so the floors come off in a modular style. When I built this I mainly wanted to make a police station that had back walls and not much floor space (making it have 4 garages would have been too big).

My brother (Jag56) designed this building. This fire station uses pieces from 7945 Fire Station and 7208 Fire Station. Like the police station, it uses modules and has back walls. The garages were made taller than the standard garages. The rooms have plenty of blue windows, and there is a helipad on top to hold the world's tiniest helicopter. There is also some extra room in the garage building.

This house was modified from 4886 Building Bonanza. From the outside, it looks like the original set, but the inside is modified with furniture. I wanted this house to have a second floor so I gave the roof a floor and made it so the roof could split into sections. The only furniture in the roof is a bed and nightstand. Also, an extra window came to the set, so I added it to the back of the house.

These are modifications to 10182 Cafe Corner. The main thing I wondered when I got the set was why the wall in the back was cornered instead of just square to fit the baseplate. I extended that so there would be more room inside. Second, it needed furniture. The first floor is a restaurant, with a bathroom. The staircase was separated from the rest of the first floor in the original set, but I took the wall out and made a railing instead to save space. There are also two booths and two small tables, a check-in counter, and a kitchen. The second floor is a psychiatry office with couches and desks, and the third floor is a hotel room.

Well, that's all of the models! I hope you liked them. I will be building more in the future, but not anytime soon.

Thanks for viewing!
