Hello everybody! In this instructable I will show you how to make a box puzzle out of Legos. It is actually very easy to make, and it is a fun project to make when you are bored.

To complete the puzzle, you have to put all the pieces of the puzzle into the box. This might seem simple, however, there is only way that this can be done, so you have to figure out the right way to make the Lego cube.

Make the Box

The first step is to make the box that holds the puzzle pieces. Start out by making an 8 x 8 base. I used two 2 x 8's and one 4 x 8 and put them together to make an 8 x 8 square (picture 1). Next, I put smooth tiles on the inside of the square (picture 2). Third, I put five layers of bricks to make a box shape (picture 5). Note: I did not have enough bricks to color-coordinate the box, but that would look better if you did have the pieces to do so. Finally, I put a layer of smooth tiles on top of the box to make the box look better (picture 6).

Make the Small Pieces

In this project there are both small pieces and large pieces. In this step we will make the small pieces. First, take a 2 x 2 brick and set it on top of a 2 x 2 tile. Then, put a 2 x 2 smooth tile on top of the brick. Make three of these.

Make the Big Pieces

Now to make the large pieces. First, place two 2 x 4 tiles beside each other, and then two 2 x 4 bricks on top of that. Finally, put two 2 x 4 smooth tiles on top of everything. Note: when you stack your legos, make everything cross each other. For example, if my two 2 x 4 tiles are facing from left to right (as they are in picture 1), stack your bricks from up to down (as in picture 2).

You are now finished with your box puzzle! Making it was the easy part, but now the hard part still awaits: putting it together. I will not tell you how to put it together in this instructable, for this is a puzzle. However, with a little time and effort, you probably can figure this fun puzzle out.
