Leather Butterfly Pendant

In this Instructable, I show you how to make a superb Pendant to mount on any choker, using Leather cord.

Everyone can do it in their own way, even without experience. It takes patience, precision, manual skills and a few tools and materials.

Materials Used:

- Brown round LEATHER cord 3 mm
- 3 flat black lava beads 20 mm
- 1 small round black lava bead
- 1 paper clip
- 1 perforated skull
- 1 black necklace
- Lighter
- Dremel > Multipurpose Tool (with fine drill bit)

- Nylon fishing line 0,30 mm
- Scissors
- Needle
- Jewelry pliers

Clearly cut the leather cord. Burn the tip with the lighter.

Pierce the leather cord right through a few millimeters from the tip, using the dremel (fine drill bit).
Then burn on the hole.

Extend a paper clip with pliers to make it straight. Pass it through the leather then the flat lava bead. Begin to wrap the leather cord around the bead.

Turn 5 times around the flat lava bead. Pierce the leather with the Dremel each time you make a turn in order to thread the paper clip in the middle. Leave the same separation space between each round of leather for perfect symmetry.

Fix the skull to the top of your pendant by forming a loop with the paper clip. So you can go through the neckband.
Thread the rest of the paper clip through the other 2 flat lava beads at the bottom. As you go along, you have to pierce the leather cord, as done previously.

Make a small loop again with the paper clip to stop the beads.

Then finish the pendant with a small lava bead tied to the loop.
You can finally put on the neck strap of your choice.

The Leather Pendant begs to be worn for an original style.
