Learn How to Re-stick Your Craft Mat
I know we all want our craft mats to last a good long time. In order for that to happen, you do need to take care of them. Many crafters ask, “how can I restick my craft mat?”
I have read a lot of tutorials on what people use and what they say not to use. And yes, I have tried a number of their ideas.
The easiest and first step is to wipe down your mat with a baby wipe. This removes a lot of the residue.
If the baby wipes don't fix your mat, the next step to try is to scrape the mat surface to remove bits and pieces of paper or vinyl that remain.
You can follow this step with a quick wipe down with the baby wipes.
If you find that the preceding steps didn't do enough to restick your craft mat, you can apply a layer of tacky glue. I use the Best Glue Ever, but other glues will work as long as they remain sticky after drying time.
It really doesn't take long to care for your craft mats. Doing so will make your craft time easier as well as saving you money in having to buy new mats.
What I would recommend against is using any kind of harsh chemical to clean the surface of your craft mats.
