Making the Batter

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Open the cake mix and pour the cake mix into the bowl; make a little nest in the middle. Then, measure out 1 ¼ cups of water and pour the water into the middle of the nest. Stir. Next, pour ½ cup of oil and pour it into the batter. Finally, add the egg whites into the cake mix and stir.

Pans

Oil the pans with vegetable shortening.

Then pour the batter into the pans. Make swirls or layers with the colors.

Gently tap the pans to remove air bubbles, making sure not to mix the colors too much.

Bake

Put the cakes in the oven to cook for 30 minutes. Check them by inserting a toothpick into the cake. If it comes out clean, it's cooked through.

Take the cake out and allow to cool completely on wire cooling racks.

Frosting

Place the first layer on a plate. Frost the top. Place the next layer on it. Cut cake flat if needed to keep it level. Repeat frosting layers to glue the cake together. Then, decorate the sides and top with frosting. Be creative and colorful.
