Lava Stone and Connection Pipe Lamp

A broken tap connection pipe was lying around from some time. An idea struck to make a table lamp out of it. I picked up a stone from road side near Kaliyasot Dam. It was a Lava stone with air bubble perforations which will be the base for the lamp.

पिछले कुछ समय से नल कनेक्शन का पाइप टूटा हुआ पड़ा था। इससे एक टेबल लैंप बनाने का विचार आया। मैंने कलियासोत डैम के पास सड़क किनारे से एक पत्थर हवा के बुलबुले के छिद्रों वाला एक लावा पत्थर उठा लिया। यह उसका बेस बनेगा।

Supplies

Required material:

Lava stone
Micro USB female connector
A tap connection pipe (i have used a broken one)
Wood polish or varnish
5V LED PCB with enclosure
Black spray paint

Drill a Hole in Stone to Attach the Pipe

Drill a hole in the lava stone at an appropriate place, where you want to fix the pipe.

लावा पत्थर में एक उचित स्थान पर एक छेद ड्रिल करें, जहां आप पाइप को फिट करना चाहते हैं।

Paint the Pipe

Paint the pipe using a black spray paint

पाईप को काले रंग से रंग दें

Attach USB Connector and PCB to Pipe

Cut to thin wires and solder them to two wires coming out of micro USB female socket. One is positive (RED) and another is negative. Thread the wire from one end of pipe to another and paint the connector black. Solder the LED PCB to another end. Attach the diffuser and check the LED, whether its working or not.

दो पतले तारों को माइक्रो यूएसबी फीमेल सॉकेट से निकलने वाले दो तारों में सोल्‍डर कर दें। एक +ve (लाल) है और दूसरा -ve है। तार को पाइप के एक सिरे से दूसरे सिरे तक पिरोएं और कनेक्टर को काले रंग से पेंट करें। एलईडी पीसीबी को दूसरे सिरे से निकले तारों से सोल्‍डर कर दें। +ve और -ve का ध्‍यान रखें। डिफ्यूजर लगा कर चेक करें कि चल रहा है या नहीं।

Varnish the Stone

Varnish the stone using wood polish.

Attach a Rod to Hole

Take a threaded rod and cut it into appropriate length. Prepare two part epoxy adhesive and fix the peg into the hole. Let it dry for a 24 hours.

एक थ्रेडेड रॉड लें और उसे उचित लंबाई में काट लें। दो भाग एपॉक्सी एडहेसिव तैयार करें और छेद में एपोक्‍सी डाल कर रॉड का टुकडा फंसा दें। इसे 24 घंटे तक सूखने दें.

Fix the Pipe to Stone

Tuck the open end of the pipe onto the threaded rod. To tighten it, Teflon tape can also be wrapped around the rod.

पाईप के खुले हुए छोर को थ्रेडेड रॉड पर टाईट फंसा दें। इसके लिए रॉड पर टेफलॉन टेप भी लपेट सकते हैं।

Final Step

The Lamp is now ready. Connect it to a power bank or mobile charger and its ready to use.
