Lasercut Laptopstand 15inch

Having your laptop elevated does wonders for your back. So let's make one for a 15 inch laptop that elevates the screen by approximately 14 cm (5,51 inch)!

I wanted a cheap and easy solution so I chose to make the laptop stand out of one sheet of mdf with dimensions of 30 x 60 cm (11,81 x 23,62 inch), 4mm thick that was available at my local fablab. In the design I use an interlocking mechanism and laser cut hinge design to make one continuous design that just snaps together. So no glue or screws needed!

I made quite a few prototypes but got it working after all. In this Instructible I will share this design to make your very own lasercut laptopstand

Supplies

1 sheet of mdf of minimum 30 x 60 cm (11,81 x 23,62 inch), 4mm thick.

Lasercut & Assemble

Put the mdf in the laser cutting machine and load in the the pdf or svg file. After its done cutting you can assemble the laptop stand. Wiggle the sheet a bit to loosen up the laser cut hinges and finally snap the two ends together.

Finish

And thats it! enjoy your brand new laptop stand.
