Laser Cutter Sign

I created a sign for my mom, so she can look at a positive affirmation every day.

You need a glowforge laser cutter, cardboard, masking tape, scissors, and wood.
Find an Image

Find an image that you would like to use. Insert the image into Inkscape. Go to Path and trace the bitmap. Then go to Object and you fill and stroke the image, which draws lines around the image you're using.

You need to mess with the speckles, smooth corners, optimization, etc. My dimensions on Inkscape were W:336.625 and H:231.607.

Prototype

You go to Glowforge and upload the image you want to be laser-cut. Then enter in what you want your dimensions, speed, power, passes, and time. For your prototype, you will use cardboard.
Make a Box Around Your Image
Make a clear box to go around your image. The dimensions for the box was W:336.625

Check to see if you want to fix anything from your last prototype. If you need to fix anything, make sure to upload the correct image to Glowforge to complete your final product. Then enter in the dimensions, speed, power, passes, and time. You will be using wood for your final product.
