Laser Cut Door Opener
Our school is going to re-open next week, but since the corona-virus is still a thing, we have to minimize touch surfaces. To do that we wanted to make a door opener for each students, teacher and practical staff. I have seen a lot of them 3d-printed online, but it is just not practical to 3d print a hundred door openers, because of the time it would take.
I was at first unable to find any designs for a laser cut door opener though. One of my friends was able to find this made by AMAP, the Institute for Automotive and Manufacturing Advanced Practice, on thingiverse and released under the creative commons attribution 4.0 licens.
I have changed the file a bit, mostly so it is easier to push with the door opener and so it fit our door handles in size. It is not a big change and my primary reason for making this instructable is to make it easier for other people to find a laser cut door opener, which I assume a lot of people might actuelly need.
Supplies
6 - 9 mm acrylic or plywood. You will need 100 x 120 mm for one door
Download File
Download the .ai file. I am apparently unable to upload the file as plt or rld. If you need a specific format, then write in the comment and I will do my best to provide it, but I can't promise anything.

Setup Your Lasser Cutter and Cut
I don't know your laser cutter, but I assume that you know how to get a good cut out of it yourself.
