I made a chest out of a 12x12 piece of wood for a project and the pictures represent where I go to and what I like to do in my free time.

Supplies

All you'll need for this is a 12 x 12 piece of wood, A laser cut machine, wood glue, and some tissues to clean off the extra glue.

type boxes hackerspace into the search engine to select free models of wooden chests and look around until you find a pirate chest. Then, I customized it around the box but my settings are everything normal for fingers and hinges but for the Pirate chest setting I changed it around to be a smaller setting being x= 75 y = 75 z = 75 to fit my 12x12 piece of wood. In default settings, everything remains the same except the thickness where I put it as 3.5mm before uploading it to the software.

I visit Full Spectrum Laser, looking for the software tab, then click on the big red "TRY NOW" to enter the software, once in on the top left look for Muse Core before changing it to Muse Titan to have a bigger field. Finally, Import the downloaded pirate chest from hackerspace into the Muse Titan.

Use the line tool to make a 12x12 box to represent the piece of wood that will be used to create it to fit. Then move the pieces of the box into the 12x12 box making sure they do not touch or are too close to each other and try to use as much of the piece of the wood as possible. Once that's done, Add at least 4 images that represent me, I used a falcon to represent my school logo, BS for my initials, a novel or books because I enjoy reading novels during my free time, and a video game logo DBL because I enjoy playing that game.

After I got the pictures I wanted and the boxes in the right place I began to change the power and speed of the laser. To cut the box,I cut at 80% speed and 100% power. For engraving (Rasterize) of the pictures you put on, I used 100% speed and 50% power. After that, I upload them to a drive and plug the drive into the laser-cutting machine as it cuts it. After some time it is finished and I make sure the parts are usable by putting them together before getting the wood glue.

Using the wood glue I put apart the lower portion first and later waited 5 minutes for the glue to dry I began to dry assemble the top part of the chest on the lower portion so it could open and close. After I got that to work I used the wood glue to assemble the top part of the chest and waited 5 minutes for it to dry up.
