Large Multi-Compartment Pencil Box

As a student at Scripps Ranch High School one thing I always struggle with is keeping my materials organized and running out of pencils. When I saw this challenge I decided to make a large pencil box with plenty of space for extra pencils and other school supplies. This pencil box fits my needs and hopefully the needs of others with its durability and storage capacity.

In my engineering class we learned about ideation and the importance of brainstorming and coming up with many ideas. This idea of the pencil box started out as one among many, but because of the problem of organization effects me I decided to choose it.

This project took lots of time and many iterations to create. I had to test different designs and latches/hinges multiple times before I designed something that I would actually want to use.

The results of this project are definitely worth the work as I think I have designed a product that I would find helpful while in school. Overall, this project also helped me to better under stand the complex system of fusion and work on both my designing and rendering skills.
