Laptop Stand + Cables Organize

Laptop Stand:

We are 3 high school students and we designed a laptop stand to put your laptop on and be able to also put other charging cables in it, for example the charging cable from your phone or tablet. This laptop stand is designed so that you can keep your desk very organised. We  haven't painted it in these pictures but you will be able to decorate it and make it better yourself. Because your laptop is in a higher position when standing on this laptop stand, you will also automatically sit up straight, so you won’t have any back problems in the future ;). You will also be able to make your laptop stand a little bit different from ours, because you may have a bigger/smaller laptop than we do. That's why we put the amount of degrees that we think is the best to have your laptop stand on in this picture (110 degrees) so that you can make your design a little bit bigger or smaller, but you can still use the same amount of degrees needed for this corner.

Supplies

Planks of wood (5 mm thick), wood glue (not necessary but handy), nails, screws, hinges (3x), power stripv.

Sizes

Measure the length and width of every part and draw them on the planks to later saw them out.

Saws

Saw out the planks and do a fit test to see if you made any mistakes.

Assembling

Fasten all the components with nails or screws, it doesn’t matter what you use. To fasten all the planks correctly, make sure to put a few small beams of wood inside the laptop stand, so that you can drive the nails in them so they won’t stick out in the inside of the laptop stand. You can also use wood glue to temporarily hold the beams in place to drive nails into them. You can also use some sandpaper to make sure the planks will fit better.

Hinge

When you have done that, you can fasten the hinges in the laptop stand, make sure to put them in the top of the laptop stand, so you can open it up from the top.

Last Adjustments

To make sure you can put your charging cables in it, make sure to drill a big hole on the back side of the laptop stand because then you will be able to put the power strip in it too. You can also drill a smaller hole on the side of the laptop stand, so you can put the charger of the laptop through there to charge your laptop. This is the basic idea of the laptop stand, you can choose to paint it or decorate it in your own way too.
