Supplies

- DIY Make-A-Lamp Kit
- Empty Tide laundry detergent bottle
- Piece of paper for lampshade
- Duct tape

Put Together Lamp Scoket

- Hook the ends of the lamp cord onto the screws at the bottom of the lamp socket.
- Use the Phillips head screwdriver to attach the cords to the socket.
Screw Lamp Nipple Into Large Adapter

- Screw lamp nipple into the large adapter. This is the widest one in the kit.
- Pass check ring onto nipple.
- Secure ring with lock nut.
Attach Lamp Socket Onto Nipple

- Screw lamp socket onto nipple.
- Use Phillips head screwdriver to securely attach socket to nipple.
Join Adapter to Tide Bottle

- Insert adapter into the top of the Tide laundry detergent bottle.
- Use duct tape to attach 2 lamp cords together a few inches away from the lamp socket.
Secure Adapter to Tide Bottle

- Use duct tape to secure adapter to top to Tide bottle.
- Duct tape cord to side of bottle to prevent it from pulling on the lamp socket.
Create Lampshade

- Use the duct tape to attach the long side of the paper to Tide bottle in order to create a lampshade.
- Leave paper open so that you can reach in to switch the lamp on and off.
- Plug in lamp and place where it is needed. It will be a little top heavy, but it should stand up.
