Label a Cupboard With Chalk

In order to remember which drawer contains what, it would be nice to label them. We'd like it if those labels could be erased and redrawn. Using chalk seems like an ideal solution here.

Also, who doesn't like drawing on furniture?!

Materials:

• Cupboard that you want labeled
• Chalkboard paint
• Painting equipment (paint roller)
• Masking tape
• Sand paper

Using the masking tape, cover those areas near the front of the drawers, that should not be painted. I only painted the face of the drawers, as that's the only part that's usually visible.

Make sure that the areas that are going to be painted are rough enough. If they are already painted or lacquered, make sure to give them a bit of sanding to ensure the paint will hold.

Paint the drawers. Make sure not to apply too much paint to ensure a smooth surface. Use a paint roller for best results. Apply two coats of paint (waiting till the first layer has dried). If you want to be extra thorough, sand the paint a bit, before applying the second layer (I didn't).

Wait for the second layer of paint to dry completely (which may take a few hours), then you're good to go to label the drawers. Use some colored chalk to give it a more varied look.
